There are a number of barrier islands only accessible by boat near Charleston.  These islands offer excellent shelling year round.  This is a great trip for a family with young children.  We also offer crabbing trips suitable for children too.  Try your luck with hand lines and dip nets crabbing for the Charleston blue crab.  The children get a real kick out of the crabs tugging on their lines.
